Operations Analyst 

Full-time/Part-time contractor, on site at Chicago office

We are seeking a skilled Operations Analyst with a technical background to join our dynamic technology team. This role is pivotal in leveraging advanced analytics and software applications to enhance our sustainable business operations. The successful candidate will develop applications that not only optimize our business processes but also align with our mission to revolutionize packaging and reduce environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Acumen: Strong business sense to understand and pinpoint areas of improvement within the business, working closely with the tech, operations, and sales teams.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales/production data to identify patterns and correlations that drive strategic decisions towards sustainability and operational excellence.
  • Model Development: Design and develop models to optimize sales/production processes within the scope of sustainable and compostable packaging solutions.
  • Software Development: Create secure, scalable, and efficient cloud-based applications on the Google Cloud Platform that facilitate business operations
  • System Integration: Seamlessly integrate these applications with existing systems using APIs, ODBC, and other middleware technologies to enhance operational cohesion and data transparency.
  • Collaborative Development: Engage with various team members in other functional areas of the business to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions that support our mission.

Technical Skills Preferred:

  • Proficient in Python: Particularly with pandas, JSON, Flask, and Google APIs.
  • Experienced with Google Cloud Platform: Skilled in developing and deploying applications on GCP.
  • Knowledgeable in System Integration: Proficient in API, ODBC, and middleware integrations.
  • Expertise in Data Analysis: Strong skills in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and advanced data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable experience in building lasting solutions through software applications and excel models
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and innovation skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Eager to Learn: Motivated to learn and configure tools within Google Cloud Platform and HubSpot, to positively contribute to the business and overall mission of sustainability
