Human Resources - People and Culture Coordinator
Bring your expertise and enthusiasm for sustainability to SolPods to contribute to various initiatives aimed at enhancing the human experience and fostering a positive organizational culture. This role is ideal for a driven, self-starter who wants to learn more about the importance of building employee engagement and internal stakeholder management. In this role, you will support onboarding processes and research best practices to encourage talent engagement. In addition, you will research trends in careers in sustainability, providing facts and figures by industry with a specific focus on entry-level positions. Your goals are to help SolPods achieve the highest standards of workplace experience and understand the growing career opportunities in sustainability for recent college and university graduates.
Key deliverables:
- Assist with onboarding for new joiners, including interns and volunteers.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and assist in creating a framework for cultural events.
- Provide support for employee surveys and recognition programs.
- Create a list of courses and certifications for young professionals interested in DEI&B (Diversity, Equity Inclusion & Belonging), supply chain management, vendor risk management, regulatory compliance, civic engagement and greening the workplace.
- Research trends in careers in sustainability and use data insights to make an evidence-based presentation with projections by industry.
- Support the weekly SolPods jobs posts by developing a list of organizations that are hiring and align with the SolPods content calendar. Assess current structure to ensure added value for students and young professionals.
The People and Culture Coordinator will check in with the HR Manager once a week at the minimum and will meet with the SolPods Team at a minimum of once a month. This is a volunteer position with no monetary compensation.
