The National Strategic Research Institute (NSRI) at the University of Nebraska is collaborating with the State of Nebraska to review procurement contracts across 93 agencies. This critical initiative aims to assess vulnerabilities, ensuring the security of our state and nation's critical infrastructure in the face of potential conflicts or supply chain disruptions.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a critical field. This role is highly flexible in terms of work arrangements and hours to help suit your schedule. The positions will have consistent support and training to execute their role.

Position: Procurement Reviewer - Several positions available.
Duration: August 20, 2024 - September 30, 2024
Compensation: Paid positions available through an independent contracting arrangement. $25/hr.
Work options: Remote, Part-time to Full-time. Flexible hours.
Education/Experience:
- Open to graduate and undergraduate students ONLY
- Background in Supply-Chain Analysis/Management, Business Supply, or Inventory Management
Skills requested: Excellent computer and internet research skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in training for contract reviews and vulnerability assessments
- Independently review contracts and gather supply-chain vulnerability information from open sources
- Submit completed worksheets and communicate findings
- Access subject matter support via phone, email and video conferencing
- Attend weekly team meetings for updates and coordination
Requirements:
- Reliable internet access and a personal computer
- Appropriate space for attending online meetings
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (due to data file access requirements at NSRI)
