OC&C is recruiting summer interns in our New York & Boston offices. The summer internship program is designed to give students a fully immersive and realistic experience of life as an Associate Consultant at our office. As a summer intern, you will be expected to support the delivery of strategic advice to clients through the preparation and delivery of analytic modules. Summer interns will be staffed on projects and are expected to actively contribute to case work. The summer internship role will include a variety of data gathering and analysis assignments, as well as interpretation and presentation of findings. Interns will work directly with all levels of the engagement team and are encouraged to be involved in various internal office-wide initiatives.

We have a set amount of interns for both of our offices therefore location choice will be first come first serve. Please note that which office you intern in doesn't dictate which office you would work in if a full-time offer is received; you will have a choice of either.

Skills Required:

Our ideal candidate will have an intuitive analytical mind, supported by logical thinking and strong numeracy. They will demonstrate a robust work ethic and strong teamwork skills through their extracurricular activities and early work experiences. They will communicate effectively in both written and oral settings. They must show excellence in the following areas:

  • Problem-solving: independently develop solutions to a broad range of problems using analytical, quantitative, intellectual, and creative approaches.
  • Written communication: create clear and concise written and visual output for use in internal and client-facing settings.
  • Personal impact and oral communication: present independent work confidently and dynamically in both internal and client-facing settings.
  • Job management/Teamwork: participate in teams in a collegial and collaborative manner; carry out your fair share of work; consistently add creative, insightful ideas; meet deadlines; demonstrate an ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Client relations & professionalism: conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times and contribute to clients' positive view of OC&C in general and the team in particular.
  • Firm contribution: play an enthusiastic role in developing the firm's earned reputation for high-caliber client work and in establishing the culture and business practices of the firm and the office.

As a rapidly growing office, we require candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to engage in all levels of firm development. New hires will be expected to immediately contribute to project work and also be intimately involved in firm development, including recruiting, cultural initiatives, office operations, and client development.
