2025 Audit Summer Intern: Digital & Technology

Job Description 

What you’ll do  

Corporate Audit Services (CAS) is U.S. Bank’s independent internal audit organization and third line of defense. Our CAS 10-week paid internship will give you exposure to internal audit through a mix of on-the-job experiences, formal training, and immersion into a network of internal auditors. This position supports the Digital and Technology team in CAS. The Digital and Technology team focuses on multiple technology organizations within the Bank and reviews items such as Infrastructure, Technology Transformation, Enterprise Architecture and Engineering, and Data & Digital Technology Infrastructure. 

  

As a Digital, Technology and Operation Services internal audit intern, you’ll:  

Get hands-on experience by performing vital pieces of the audit process including assisting the audit team management in planning audit engagements, performing control testing based on audit program directions, identifying and assessing the relevancy of possible issues, and documenting work performed in TeamMate+ to support the audit scope/conclusions; 

Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate, test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls; 

Develop risk and business acumen through training, mentorship, and exposure to senior executives; 

Build a supportive community of peers through a variety of cohort strengthening activities such as social events, and development workshops;  

Ensure adherence to all applicable CAS policies and procedures and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards and Codes of Ethics; 

Learn from and apply coaching received; 

Give back to the communities where we live and work; and 

Perform other duties as requested by management. 

 

Basic Qualifications 

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a target graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026

Ability to start internship program on June 9, 2025 

 

Preferred Skills/Experience: 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Ability to think and work independently, demonstrate a professional demeanor, and have high energy with a can-do attitude. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. 

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.  

Strong computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and Word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations.  

Pursuing a degree in management information systems, information technology or similar discipline. 

Basic understanding of bank operations around lending and money movement related activities.
