The Longhorn Wellness Center (LWC) is a department in the Division of Student Affairs that promotes student well-being and creates a healthier campus community utilizing a public health approach.
Job Description
The Administrative Student Assistant in this position will provide basic front desk office support and receptionist duties to students and patrons visiting our office.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 10-15 hours/week, for shifts averaging 2-4 hours in length.
- All hours are completed in-person, Monday-Friday, during business hours (9-5pm)
Job Responsibilities
- Act as front desk receptionist by providing friendly service when assisting guests that enter or call LWC.
- Assist with daily office operations including opening/closing and helping students access health resources.
- Manage office supply inventory including requests and distribution of program materials.
- Support events, meetings and programs hosted by LWC including set up/breakdown.
- Manage documents including creating spreadsheets, printing, copying, scanning and laminating.
- Conduct project research on an as needed basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to consistently arrive on time and adhere to scheduled work hours.
- Ability to work autonomously and take lead in problem solving.
- Open to working in an office that addresses multiple health topic areas including sexual health, mental health, substance use/misuse, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to contribute towards a positive office culture.
- Interest in learning and developing career skills.
