EEO Counselor 

This position is a designated Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Counselor, which is an official EEO responsibility under the technical supervision and guidance of the Deputy Director, EEO, D&I. Incumbent is required to be available as an objective and impartial channel through which aggrieved persons may raise questions and seek resolution of problems which involve allegations of discrimination. Matters are handled on an informal and formal basis. Duties include: maintaining the trends and data reports for the EEO complaints program as well as updating the iComplaints program. Serve as the Alternative Dispute Resolutions Program Manager as needed. Support the Reasonable Accommodation program for the Command while maintaining a separation from any EEO matters. Provide support for the development and implementation of the Reasonable Accommodation (RA) program through the development of systems for the evaluation and assessment of the RA program as well as ensuring that accommodations are made in accordance with the EEOC and DON guidelines. Support installation and tenant activities MD715 Plans. Provide information to military and civilian management officials on the interpretation of the legal requirements and procedural preparation, direction, implementation, and management of the plans. Other projects may include working in the Special Emphasis Program as a representative /advocate for an affinity group, assisting with the annual DEOCS Climate Survey to include focus groups and analysis, and briefing EEO materials and data as required.
