Field Marketing and Sales Intern

Job Title:  Field Marketing and Sales Intern
Location: Remote or Hybrid
Type: Internship
Duration: 6 months

We are seeking proactive and persuasive Field Marketing and Sales Interns to engage with shopkeepers, Sponsors, restaurant owners, café managers, and other local business owners where students frequently visit. The interns will persuade these businesses to join our initiative, which aims to increase their sales through targeted student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Engagement:
    • Visit local businesses such as shops, restaurants, cafés, and other establishments frequented by students.
    • Present and explain the benefits of partnering with us.
    • Negotiate nominal discounts for students who visit these businesses through our promotion.

 

  • Promotion and Sales:
    • Develop and deliver persuasive pitches to secure partnerships.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with local business owners.
    • Act as a liaison between the businesses and our team to ensure smooth collaboration.
    • Provide ongoing support and communication to partnered businesses.
  • Reporting and Feedback:
    • Keep detailed records of interactions, agreements, and follow-ups.
    • Provide regular reports on progress, challenges, and feedback from the field.
    • Suggest improvements based on field experiences to enhance the marketing strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confidence in public speaking and presenting ideas.
  • Ability to persuade and negotiate effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Comfortable working in the field and meeting new people.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in sales or marketing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the local area and student hotspots.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
