Community Manager

Job Title: Community Manager
Location: Remote
Type: Internship
Duration: 6 months

We are looking for an energetic and proactive Community Manager to develop and nurture a community of students and college clubs for our new show, CJN. The Community Manager will be responsible for building relationships, promoting the show, and engaging with the community to drive participation and viewership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Building:
    • Identify and reach out to student groups, clubs, and organizations in colleges.
    • Create and execute strategies to attract students and clubs to join the CJN community.
    • Develop engaging content and activities to foster community involvement.
  • Promotion and Engagement:
    • Promote the CJN show through various channels, including social media, email, and events.
    • Organize and host events, webinars, and meetups to engage the community and promote the show.
    • Encourage students and clubs to participate in the show by sharing content, providing feedback, and spreading the word.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the student community.
    • Act as the main point of contact for community members, addressing their questions and concerns.
    • Collaborate with the production team to ensure community input is considered in the show’s development.
  • Content Creation and Sharing:
    • Develop and share relevant content that resonates with the student community.
    • Manage social media accounts and online forums to keep the community informed and engaged.
    • Gather and share feedback from the community to help improve the show.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor community engagement and participation metrics.
    • Provide regular reports on community growth, engagement, and feedback.
    • Adjust strategies based on data and feedback to continuously improve community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in community management, social media management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of student communities and college environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging content and manage multiple channels.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with or managing student groups and organizations.
  • Familiarity with event planning and coordination.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
