Part-Time Therapist

Overview: Adaptive Interventions is seeking a qualified and dedicated part-time therapist (CAC II, CAC III, CAS, or LAC) to join our team. This role involves conducting court-ordered classes for participants in the Douglas County Multiple Offender Program. Classes are held in person in Lone Tree on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings.

About the Program: The Douglas County Multiple Offender Program is a structured and intensive program designed for individuals who have received deferred jail sentences. Participants are carefully screened by case managers at the courthouse and by Adaptive Interventions to ensure they are suited for the program's rigorous requirements and strict rules.

Schedule:

  • Monday Evenings: MRT classes from 5-7 PM and 7-9 PM.
  • Tuesday Evenings: Level II Therapy sessions from 5-7 PM and 7-9 PM.
  • Wednesday Evenings: Level II Education class from 5-7 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) group sessions, a manualized cognitive behavioral therapy approach. Training will be provided if necessary to ensure the therapist meets program expectations.
  • Facilitate Level II Therapy sessions, guiding group discussions and documenting participant engagement and participation.
  • Lead Level II Education classes, ensuring all participants receive the necessary educational content and maintaining detailed notes on their involvement.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. Must hold a valid certification or licensure as a CAC II, CAC III, CAS, or LAC.
  • Ability to work on the specified evenings and manage a group setting.
  • Experience leading group classes, specifically those that are court-ordered would be beneficial.
  • Strong documentation skills to record participant progress and engagement.
  • Commitment to adhering to the program's strict guidelines and expectations.
  • Compliance with state regulations and professional ethical standards.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

Compensation: Pay will be commensurate with experience and credentials ranging from $20-$40/hour.  Additional individual sessions could lead to further compensation for participants of the program.
