HR Total Rewards - Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Keyence Corporation of America is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our HR team. In this role, you will manage and administer payroll, employee benefits, and time & attendance, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for our staff. Responsibilities include processing payroll, managing benefits programs, conducting tax audits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of payroll and benefits administration. Responsibilities and Duties
- Must be able to work in an office setting for a minimum of 40 hours per week, primarily sitting.
- Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners.
- May perform light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
- Must be able to maintain focus and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Travel: 0-5%, based on business needs
- Ensure efficiency of bi-weekly payroll for all employees
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll taxes and regulations.
- Process and manage the payroll and benefits transactional aspects of the role, including legal/compliance documentation, ad-hoc reporting, timecard reviews, tax audits, maintenance of internal systems and organizational infrastructure.
- Analyze market trends and best practices to maximize pay and benefits programs’ competitiveness, impact, and internal equity.
- Proactively build strong business partnerships with internal departments, senior management, and various external vendors.
- Consistently collaborate with other HR teammates daily to sustain and optimize HR operations, including but not limited to on-boarding, performance management, talent development, employee relations, compensation, and HRIS.
- Identify and execute strategic and impactful changes across various HR responsibilities to aid in eliminating business risk and innovating our organization.
- Facilitate and manage multiple cross functional projects while fulfilling day-to-day responsibilities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline
- Experience: .5 - 3 years general Human Resources, HRIS, Compensation, and/or Performance Management or similar related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- General aptitude for learning and using new software and technology.
- Sustained ability to manage stress and maintain clear focus with handling large volume of data management and accuracy demands of the role.
- Ability to clearly communicate and simplify complex concepts to present key HR process, programs, and policy information to a large group of employees.
- Ability to execute and manage multiple tasks and projects at once, prioritize accordingly, remain organized and focused, resiliently adapt to changes, and keep meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately and thoroughly document, record, and maintain information and data integrity – the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify underlying principles and objectives behind current processes and policies and continuously improve them.
- Situational agility and ability to build structure around ambiguity.
- Aptitude to establish and sustain effective interpersonal relationships and partnership with employees and management through adaptive communication skills.
- Knowledge on current employment laws and regulations
Preferred Skills/Technical Skills
- Preferred experience with ADP Work Force Now Payroll and SAP Success Factors Employee Central or similar HRIS
- Proven experience in optimizing HR daily operations within rapid pace of Company growth.
- Experience with benefits orientations and effective presentation creation.
