Staff Services Analyst

Begin your career today as a Staff Services Analyst within the Unclaimed Property Division of the State Controller's Office! This entry level position is the perfect starting point for a career in civil service.

With supervision provided by a Staff Services Manager I in the Consumer Services Bureau, Heir and Special Claims Section of the Unclaimed Property Division (UPD) of the State Controller's Office, the incumbent may perform at the capacity of a resource person for the unit as well as within the UPD.  The incumbent will process claims against unclaimed property accounts by verifying pertinent claimant information, and work in accordance with the Unclaimed Property Law, Government Code, Probate Code, Civil Code, Code of Civil Procedures, the California Code of Regulations, and UPD Policies. Claims for property, which are submitted by both the private and public sectors include: Cash and Securities.

 

Working Conditions

  • This position is 100% in office and teleworking is not available.
  • Required hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Salary Range: $3,749.00 - $6,093.00 per month

 

What are the minimum qualifications needed to apply?

  • Education: Equivalent to graduation from the 12th grade.
  • Experience: Four years of experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties.

Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis!
