Software Engineer Summer Intern

This platform empowers us to operate at a scale across global markets. 

 

We are seeking talented and curious interns to join our team as Software Engineers. Our codebase is primarily written in Java, C++, and Python, with Angular or React for the front end. The specific application of these tools will vary based on the team you join.  As an intern, you will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with our technologists, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment. 

 

Some examples of the job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Improve and maintain codebase, research and trading tools, and trading infrastructure
  • Automate trading environments in AWS/GCP
  • Integrate development tools to enhance software development process
  • Build and optimize trade messaging and data platforms using Kafka/Solace and Redis/Hazelcast
  • Design technology workflows and use cases for trade processing and risk management
  • Implement system enhancements through coding and QA assignments
  • Collaborate with various teams for issue resolution and to understand necessary requirements
  • Enhance business applications with modern front-end technologies
  • Evaluate and implement new data warehousing technologies throughout the firm

 

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

  • Rising seniors or Master’s students entering their final year
  • Major in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or other Technology focused areas
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above required
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and analytical skills

 

The estimated annual salary for this position is $150,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future.
