Junior Amazon Connect Engineer

Location: Denver, CO 80202 (2 days onsite)

Contract: Rolling through EOY

Pay: $30-35/hr DOE

 

Project Overview:

Our government client is moving 26 call centers to Amazon Connect. You will be jumping in the middle of this migration to help the current team review and debug workflows, tackle backlog items, and help automate using Amazon Lex. This project is in the forefront of the City’s innovation initiatives and will impact Denver Metro citizens for years to come. Great opportunity to learn some of the newest tools in the market, while working with a great team!

 

Team:

You will be working closely with a solutions architect, two technical leads, a project manager, and delivery manager to execute this initiative.

 

Day to Day:

  • Collaborate with the team to integrate new prompts into every workflow for the non-emergency 911 service. This includes designing, implementing, and testing the prompts before moving them to production.
  • Responsible for entering data accurately and maintaining the database to ensure it is up-to-date, reliable, and easily accessible.
  • Analyze and understand log files in JSON and XML formats. This involves identifying patterns, troubleshooting issues, and extracting useful information to improve system performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the Lambda API to ensure its smooth operation. This includes monitoring its performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing necessary updates or improvements.

 

Technical requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or graduation from a coding bootcamp.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Possession of at least one AWS Certification (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner preferred).
  • Interest in working with AWS Connect, including executing and exporting reports, conducting analytics, and troubleshooting setup failures.
  • Understanding of call center operations, routing strategies, and contact flows.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues.
  • Proficiency in navigating a multitenant environment and adhering to defined processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
