EPP Pricing Analyst Associate (Pricing and Costing)

FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE:
 Analyzes and implements pricing strategies designed to improve the revenue and profitability of the Postal Service. Supports the analysis of product and pricing scenarios and the evaluation of alternative regulatory proposals and the potential impact on the Postal Service. This is the first level of a three-grade career ladder for pricing professionals to develop the competencies, technical knowledge, and skills needed for success in the full performance of the Pricing Specialist EAS-21 position. At this level, incumbents apply entry level technical knowledge, skills, and abilities to support department programs and projects. Candidates entering this career ladder will work closely with a mentor/coach and execute an Individual Development Plan outlining developmental requirements which have been tailored to the employee.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
 This is the first level of a three-grade career ladder for use only within the CFO organization. This is not authorized on a permanent basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 1. Completes entry-level pricing projects, under the guidance of others, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the U.S. Postal Service?s Pricing and Costing functions, internal polices, and procedures.

2. Collects and assembles data for studies and trend analysis reports.

3. Supports alternative regulatory proposals to identify the effect on the Postal Service; supports the analysis and documentation of proposals to improve new pricing.

4. Supports the preparation of legal filing summaries, position papers, instructional materials, and correspondence concerning assigned projects for management review and action.

5. Participates in the preparation and delivery of presentations to communicate pricing analyses for products and services to management for review and action.

6. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with team members and external stakeholders to ensure optimum coordination and maximize the quality of products and services.

7. Utilizes spreadsheet software to conduct financial and trend analyses.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.Ability to perform analysis, conduct studies, produce reports, and make recommendations for business changes.

2.Ability to coordinate work with others to complete programs and projects.

3.Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,) sufficient to analyze data, create and format reports, and create presentations.

4.Knowledge of economics, finance, marketing, and/or pricing methodology sufficient to perform pricing analysis and make pricing recommendations.

5.Ability to develop and deliver written and oral communications such as presentations, status briefings, legal summaries, and other correspondence for delivery to colleagues, management, and senior leadership.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Possession of a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a closely related field from a college or university accredited by a national or regional accreditation organization recognized and sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Education.MUST GRADUATE BY FEBRUARY 2025.
