Graduate Resident Director

Position Type: Federal Work Study Or Non Work Study
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Represent The Residence Life Office.
  • Assist with the overall departmental functions: Including office operations, staff selection and training and development, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, recognition and evaluation.
  • During opening 6 weeks, provide leadership to an area staff in the achievement of the programmatic goals and objectives of that area with supervision of hall staff.
  • Serve in on-campus professional staff duty rotation, which will include weeknights, weekends and some holidays.
  • During opening 6 weeks, organize and facilitate regularly scheduled staff meetings, individual meetings with the director, individual meetings with staff members and Residence Life meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Conferred Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Enrolled in Master’s degree program.
  • Available 20 hours per week.

  • Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and ability to effect change.
  • Sensitivity to and having an understanding of the diverse academic, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds of students and their families, while establishing, maintaining and fostering a positive working relationship with relative constituents.
  • Must be willing to live on-campus
