Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated UI/UX Game Design Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with designers and developers, contributing to the creation of intuitive and visually stunning user interfaces for our games. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a strong passion for gaming.
Key Responsibilities:

Design Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and create user-friendly and visually appealing UI/UX designs for our games.
- Assist in the development of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.

User Research and Testing:
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and improve the overall user experience.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results.

Integration and Implementation:
- Work closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of UI/UX designs into the game.
- Ensure that designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Industry Trends and Best Practices:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design and gaming.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Game Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.

Portfolio:
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design skills, preferably with examples of game interfaces.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Basic understanding of game development processes and familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for gaming and a strong desire to create engaging player experiences.

- Non-paid volunteer internships are based on your schedule. Internships are available via semester, academic school year, or during the summer. Our goal is to help you build your resume, learn how to work with a team, and make a difference in helping young adults living with cancer. Interns do not pay any fees.
Interns will be supervised by the manager and software engineers, and assigned tasks via GitHub. Team communication will be conducted through Microsoft Teams, email, phone calls, and video conferencing.
