Peer Educator
Position Type: Federal Work Study or Non-Work Study
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- TRIO Student Support Services is seeking to hire tutors for the 2023-2024 academic year! We are a federally funded retention program that provides academic support and professional development to students! Tutors will be expected to commit to about 10 hours/ week. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting tutoring sessions.
- Completing session evaluations.
- Creating supplemental learning materials for different subjects.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- B+ or higher in subjects of interest
- Sophomore status or higher
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office products and Zoom.
- Good communication skills and self-directed
- Organizational, people, and computer skills. Individuals who are detail-oriented, respect confidentiality, dependable, reliable, responsible, and possess a high level of accuracy and pride in their work are encouraged to apply.

- Interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Adaptable to various learning styles and ability to discuss the material in multiple ways.
- Can tutor in multiple subjects (at least two)
- Demonstrates commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Anticipated Schedule:
- 9 AM-9 PM M-F (Flexible)
