Position Type: Federal Work Study or Non-Work Study 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • TRIO Student Support Services is seeking to hire tutors for the 2023-2024 academic year! We are a federally funded retention program that provides academic support and professional development to students! Tutors will be expected to commit to about 10 hours/ week. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conducting tutoring sessions.
  • Completing session evaluations.
  • Creating supplemental learning materials for different subjects.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B+ or higher in subjects of interest
  • Sophomore status or higher
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office products and Zoom.
  • Good communication skills and self-directed
  • Organizational, people, and computer skills. Individuals who are detail-oriented, respect confidentiality, dependable, reliable, responsible, and possess a high level of accuracy and pride in their work are encouraged to apply.

  • Do you speak any other languages besides English?

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Adaptable to various learning styles and ability to discuss the material in multiple ways.
  • Can tutor in multiple subjects (at least two)
  • Demonstrates commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Anticipated Schedule:

  • 9 AM-9 PM M-F (Flexible)
