Grades 5-8 Science/Grade 5 Religion Teacher

Saint Anselm School  in Chesterland is seeking a full time Grades 5-8 Science/ Grade 5 ReligionTeacher.

 Summary of Duties: Grade 5 Religion/Homeroom Teacher; Grades 5-8 Science Teacher at St. Anselm School is responsible for planning and implementing the State of Ohio Science and Diocese of Cleveland Religion standards following the Diocese of Cleveland curriculum, monitoring, evaluating, and recording student outcomes through Gradelink. The Science/Religion Teacher is responsible for communicating with all parties involved in the education of the students.

Position Purpose: Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing Dioceasan approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students by creating flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

 Qualifications: valid State of Ohio license (current and active license); possess or be willing to obtain the required religion certification for the Diocese of Cleveland, complete BCI and FBI background checks, and Virtus training.
