• Perform a variety of duties in assisting a certified teacher in the implementation and support of instructional programs for students in group or one-on-one settings.
• Prepare instructional materials, maintain classroom discipline, and lead planned activities designated by a certified teacher.
• Help develop and maintain a positive school-wide learning environment.

Interested in becoming a TEAM Sub? Increased Pay: $140/day. TEAM Subs must maintain a 75% monthly attendance level while working in teacher assignments.

All Substitute Teachers MUST meet the following qualifications:

• Have a valid Missouri Teacher Certificate
• OR hold a valid Content Substitute Teacher Certificate through the Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE).
• Minimum requirement for Substitute Teacher Certification (MO): 36 semester credit hours from a regionally accredited college, academic degree-granting college or university OR complete a 20 hour DESE approved course.
• To apply for work in Columbia Public Schools, you must undergo a background check (fingerprinting) using the 4-Digit Registration Number Code for CPS: 0213.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $100.00 - $160.00 per day
