The State Water Resources Control Board’s Central Valley Region has one opening for a Seasonal Clerk in our Operational Support Unit. The position is located at 11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite #200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. Our office has a comfortable work environment, is conveniently located off Highway 50, offers free parking, and is near convenient shopping and many restaurants.

Under the supervision of a Staff Services Manager I and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments. The Seasonal Clerk (SC) performs a variety of routine clerical functions in a regional office setting. The duties of the SC include acting as the receptionist and providing clerical support to the public and staff within the department.


Duties: 

The Seasonal Clerk (SC) is responsible for providing timely and professional clerical assistance to the public and staff within the Department, by phone, e-mail, mail, and in person. The SC is required to work independently, communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and become proficient in clerical duties. Daily proficient utilization of office equipment and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
