Public Relations Intern, Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle
Bollare is a bi-coastal, full-service, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle public relations firm. Between offices in New York and Los Angeles, Bollare works with brands across four verticals: celebrity seeding, digital seeding and consultancy, and traditional editorial as well as events and brand partnerships.
Bollare Communications is seeking interns to join our stellar Los Angeles + New York teams to work across the editorial and influencer/celebrity departments. Priority will be given to students located in Los Angeles, Nashville and New York City.
The editorial opportunity gives students an inside look at the public relations industry by developing knowledge of media, understanding of how to work with editors, drafting public relations pitches, monitoring and sharing media placements with clients and analyzing trends for timely outreach. The influencer/VIP department provides insider access on growing a contact base, creating campaigns, monitoring social media, communicating with influencers and VIP teams, and analyzing the event landscape to pitch timely partnerships.
About the opportunity:
- Start Date: Mid-August 2024
- End Date: Mid-December 2024
- This opportunity is unpaid; however, college credit is available!
- Hours are from 10 AM - 5 PM, and you must be available to work at least 2 days a week.
- This is a remote position, however, it’s a plus if you’re located in LA, NYC, or Nashville as various in-person opportunities may arise
To students: Prior to starting this or any unpaid internship, you must contact your faculty advisor or internship coordinator to determine whether this internship satisfies your college's requirements for academic credit.
Qualifications:
- You have a strong interest in PR across fashion, beauty and the lifestyle scopes
- You practice personal accountability and effective work habits
- You can articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written and oral forms
- You are a clear and confident communicator who seeks feedback and values the chance to grow in the industry
- You cannot seem to stop scrolling through fashion and beauty websites and/or your Instagram page is filled with your favorite influencers and celebrities – us, too! ;)
- Must be detail oriented, organized and an adept writer
- Previous fashion and PR experience is a plus
Responsibilities for Editorial Interns:
- Overseeing account press and clippings
- Assisting with daily tasks from management
- Media list building within MuckRack
- Creation of project recaps and trend decks
- Potential to assist with pitch creation and press outreach
Responsibilities for Digital/VIP Interns:
- Assisting with influencer and celebrity research
- Support team with clipping and mocking up client placements
- Proactively stay up to date with pop culture
- Assist with trend research
- Create client mood boards for brands to pitch to celebrity stylists and influencers
