Fish Management Coordinator

Job Description

What we need:
We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Fish Management Coordinator within the Division of Wildlife, headquartered at 7018 Home Gardner Rd., Castalia, OH in Erie county. What you will do:

Manage and maintain fishing access areas including boat ramps, boat docks .
Maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment in assigned areas.
Communicate with and hires vendors for access area maintenance activities (e.g., lawn maintenance, tree cutting).
Conduct fish surveys using different sampling methods.
Assist with transportation and stocking of fish.
Operate various construction type equipment (e.g., skid steer tractors, utility tractors, various tractor implements).
Starting hourly pay of $20.99/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 7 years of service, with an end hourly pay of $24.66/hr.

Qualifications

-24 months of experience conducting fish management surveys, data collection, operating fish sampling equipment & implementing fish management strategies AND valid driver's license.

-OR completion of associate core program in fisheries science to include 1 course in chemistry AND 6 months of experience conducting fish management surveys, data collection, operating fish sampling equipment & implementing fish management strategies AND valid driver's license.

-OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
