Social Science Research Intern

PLEASE NOTE: We are currently located in Trooper, PA and are moving to Montgomeryville, PA in late October.

Social Science Research Intern

Responsibilities:

--Collaborate with the Director of Impact and Programs on an ongoing impact study to determine the ways in which Mitzvah Circle's work positively affects stress for their clients receiving services.

--Assist with development of surveys and interview protocols.

--Assist with recruiting participants for the research study.

--Assist with monitoring survey completion.

--Collect client data via phone based surveys and interviews.

--Perform data cleaning and preliminary analysis.

We will provide a $500 stipend upon successful completion of the internship. We are happy to work with students toward academic credit.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Excel and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.

This is an in-person position. All internships are in Trooper, Pennsylvania, about 40 minutes north of Philadelphia near King of Prussia, and will move to Montgomeryville, PA during the semester . You will need your own transportation. We will do background checks on all interns.

Our interns work a minimum of 8 hours a week. The hours are Mondays through Fridays 9:00am-1:00pm. You can choose the days that work best for you, but you need to work the full shift. Students must have completed at least their sophomore year of school with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The internship starts the week of August 26th, and you need to commit to stay until mid December even if you complete required hours sooner.

Mitzvah Circle provides concrete help by working directly with recipients, or with referring organizations, to fulfill specific needs, especially when other assistance options are exhausted. Mitzvah Circle joins in partnership with individuals, foundations, corporations, schools and other non-profit organizations that wish to provide community service, goods or financial support.
