Speech Language Pathologist, Field Elementary - 1.0 FTE

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Speech Language Pathologist will facilitate reduction, remediation, or elimination of speech and language impairments which interfere with the individual student’s ability to benefit from the general educational program. Experience working in school settings on a transdisciplinary team. Effective written and oral communication skills. Flexibility and time management skills are a must. Case management responsibilities, basic computer skills, knowledge of Special Education policies and procedures required.
 
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:  

  • Masters Degree in Communication Disorders/ Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency/ ASHA certification.
  • Current CO State license for the Speech-Language Pathology-Special Service Provider Endorsement (or can obtain one)
  • At least one year of experience working with students with special education needs is preferred.
  • Criminal background check required for hire.
  • CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.
  • Nationally recognized crisis prevention training preferred.

 
STARTING SALARY RANGE: (Annual salary schedule based on 1.0 FTE)
WORK YEAR: 187 contract days (district educator calendar)
FTE: 1.0
