Behavior Technician- Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander

What We’re Looking For:

ASPIRE is looking for passionate individuals interested in implementing behavioral treatment programs to our patients in Round Rock, Leander, Cedar Park, and Georgetown. Candidates must be energetic, reliable and able to commit to working with clients for a minimum of one year. We provide home, community, and clinic-based services. Reliable transportation is required (mileage reimbursement is paid). Upper-division students or graduates with degrees in Behavior Analysis, Education, or a related field and prior ABA experience / RBT Certification are preferred, but not required for those with the passion to learn and grow in a rewarding career.

During sessions, behavior technicians are responsible for applying the principles of behavior analysis in a one-to-one setting to clients with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include implementing programs designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts, keeping the client engaged, applying behavior analytic techniques to reduce challenging and stereotypic behavior, teaching appropriate play and social skills, and providing reinforcement for desired behaviors. Behavior Technicians also maintain accurate records of client progress through extensive data collection and attend on-going training and workshops.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to travel within the greater Austin area
  • Must pass background check
  • Must be willing to work a minimum of 2 afternoons between 3:30-6:30pm
  • Must be reliable and able to commit to working with clients for a minimum of one year
  • Must be able to work well independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Employees enrolled in a graduate level ABA course sequence are eligible to apply to our BCBA Training Academy. Participants can take advantage of the following program benefits:

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 40 per week
