Job Summary

This posting will be used to fill three positions located in St. Paul

This position will provide agency records management support at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). The incumbent converts documents from a centralized paper system to an electronic system in accordance with established processes, requirements, and guidelines. The incumbent works closely with the unit supervisor to ensure the work is progressing efficiently and to quality standards. The incumbent also provides records management administrative support so that paper and electronic documents are easily and readily available for use and inspection. 

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of basic principles, practices and techniques of database management.

Ability to use computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office products, email, intranet/internet, Outlook) and equipment (e.g. computer, facsimile, scanner, photocopier, label machines).

Ability to understand MN statutes and rules governing data practices and records management.

Customer service/human relations skills sufficient to maintain good work relationships with agency staff and customers. 

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will not sponsor applicants for work visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Records management experience.

Experience with electronic document management systems (i.e. TEMPO).

Knowledge of data practices regarding records and records retention.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team.
