Pay Range:  $60,938 - $83,600

The Oshkosh Police Department invites passionate individuals to apply for the role of full-time Police Officer. This position is perfect for those committed to upholding the highest legal and ethical standards while serving the community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Public Safety Advocate: Promote public safety and enhance community quality of life through innovative policing and community partnerships.
  • Work Independently and as a Team: Perform duties with limited immediate supervision, collaborating with coworkers and community members.
  • Adhere to Policies and Laws: Understand and apply departmental policies, procedures, job methods, federal laws, state statutes, and local ordinances.
  • Stay Physically Fit: Maintain the physical fitness required to carry out essential job functions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or 60 college credits from an accredited institution.
  • Driver’s License: Must hold a valid driver’s license at the time of employment.
  • Age: Must be at least 20 years old.
  • Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen.
  • Clean Record: No felony or domestic abuse-related convictions.
