Student Assistant- LBJSC Event Services Office
JOB SUMMARY:
*Assist and support full-time LBJSC Event Services staff with day-to-day tasks
JOB DUTIES:
*Provide office coverage during staff meetings, event tours and event consultations, staff lunch times.
*Assist with processing reservation requests for LBJ Student Center & associated spaces under LBJ purview
*Potentially assist with event consultations
*Enter details and data into reservation software (Mazevo)
*Help create diagrams post event consultation meetings.
*Send client Qualtrics surveys.
*Send event reminders and schedule meetings as needed
* Answer phones, transfer calls, and create/respond to emails via Outlook
*Run weekly/monthly reports and keep running document of reports stats.
*Assist with Facilities Programming: monthly themes/ideas and assist in creating crafts for programming & bulletin board.
*Provide day-of support to large events when needed
* Be aware of daily building events
* Utilize the radio to communicate with Building Managers and Building Operations staff
* Check mailbox and deliver items to offices within LBJ Student Center
* Collect payments for reservation balances, write receipts, etc.
* Work on tasks or special projects as assigned by LBJ Event Services staff
* Participate in Student Center functions, trainings, and events
* Shifts are primarily weekdays, with some evening or weekend shifts possible based on event needs.
* Ideal candidates are familiar with LBJSC and have good written and interpersonal communication & customer service skills and the ability to learn and retain detailed information.
Looking for someone who can start during Summer 2024, and continue into Fall of 2024.
EMPLOYEE EVALUATION PROCESS: Student employees are evaluated by their supervisor at the end of each long semester (fall/spring). They are also evaluated at the end of summer if they were employed both Summer I and II sessions.
PAYRATE DETERMINATION: All student employees begin at the starting pay rate for their job title and may increase by .50 after each long semester of employment with a “meets” or “exceeds” expectations overall evaluation from their supervisor using the LBJSC Student Employee Performance Review form.
