Food & Beverage Outlet Attendant Lead-Mount Rushmore National Memorial

Job Summary:

May perform duties including cashiering, line serving, food prep, ice cream service, dishwashing, bussing, janitorial, and barista. Provides hands on training and supervision of line employees.
 

 

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Season Dates: Starting August 2024
Pay: $15.25/hr.
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

 

  • Requests customer order and depresses keys of multi-counting machine to simultaneously record order and compute bill.
  • Selects requested food items from serving or storage areas and assembles items on serving tray or in takeout container.
  • Notifies kitchen personnel of shortages or special orders. Serves cold drinks, frozen milk drinks, or desserts. Makes and serves hot beverages.
  • Receives payments.
  • Cooks or apportions French fries, hamburgers etc. and performs other minor duties to prepare food, serve customers, or maintain orderly eating or serving areas.
  • Carries dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen. Wipes table tops and chairs with damp cloth. Replenishes supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in dining room.
  • Supplies condiment bar with items such as ketchup, mustard, butter and jelly.
  • Cleans and polishes glass shelves and doors of service bars and equipment such as coffee urns and cream and milk dispensers.
  • Makes coffee and fills beverage containers.
  • Sweeps and mops floors. Properly segregate and dispose of waste and recycling. Vacuums and cleans carpets.
  • Provides hands on training to new employees and assists in documenting employees knowledge of position and tasks.
  • Assists Food and Beverage Supervisors and Managers in closing checkouts, resolving guests issues and follow up on assigned tasks and checklists.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  The employee frequently is required to walk.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
