Materials Market Development Associate

Location: Remote (must be near a major airport) 

Travel: Up to 70% overnight travel

Training: At ACCI facilities in Linden, NJ, and Harrisonville, MO

Job Description: ACCI Specialty Materials is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales/Market Development Specialist to join our team. This role involves extensive travel, market development, and identifying new market opportunities for our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or polymers and proven sales experience. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and develop new market opportunities in non-established territories.
  • Work closely with the management team to create strategies for market entry.
  • Engage with existing and potential customers to identify their needs and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of ACCI's thermoset materials and personal care ingredients.
  • Commercialize new applications and product opportunities.
  • Prepare financial and operational estimates based on customer discussions and records.
  • Report on customer practices and provide continuous market/customer feedback to Product Development.
  • Provide input on product pricing, positioning, and competitive analysis.
  • Interact with customers primarily in person, via phone, or email.

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of a B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Materials, Chemical Engineering or Polymers.
  • At least 1-2 years of previous sales experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the Adhesives, Electronics, Composites, and/or Specialty Chemical industries or Personal Care.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently, with supervision in a remote manner.
  • Must be located near a major airport to facilitate travel requirements.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including international travel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Training: The selected candidate will undergo several months of training at our facilities in Linden, NJ, and Harrisonville, MO, to gain a comprehensive understanding of our products and processes.
