Overview of Dept/Division: DOS Finance/Expense Analysis is responsible for managing the $5B annual operating budget for Dept of Subways. The dept oversees hiring for a 29,000 workforce.

Project Responsibilities: - The Graduate/Post-graduate intern will assist DOS Finance with creating system-wide Organizational Charts for senior management.
- The intern will collaborate and be exposed to MTA systems, such as the Personnel Strength Report and budget systems within Dept of Subways.
- The intern will have the opportunity to work closely
with analysts, Directors and Senior Directors on how to implement the Org chart.
- The intern will also have the opportunity to build expense reports for Overtime.
- Work with the Expense Analysis Team to create a system-wide Organizational Chart
- Develop budget proposals and construct analytic plans to evaluate requests for funding.
- Monitor spending against budget and perform forecasting of expenses.
- Support management decision making through the implementation of new and existing
analytical tools
- Develop reports and presentations to disseminate analyses and conclusions 

Special Qualifications or Background Needed: Master's degree in finance, Accounting Management or a related field preferred.
