Full Time-Sales Support-Nashville, TN-2025

The General Sales Support team member is responsible for proactive inbound and outbound prospecting and lead management. This role will have a direct impact on our success by qualifying leads and uncovering opportunities, adding to the sales pipeline. You will help grow sales through creating and maintaining long-term customer satisfaction. Primary job responsibilities are to make and receive inbound and outbound calls to build strong customer relationships. You will identify opportunities within an assigned customer base and present solutions virtually by upselling and cross-selling solutions. Prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business is essential to this role.

This role will act as a layer between marketing and sales for all product lines. Responsible for building relationships through marketing activity – inbound inquiries, trade shows, referrals and outbound cold calling. The goal of a General Sales Support is to take a prospective lead, generate interest to customer, qualify the lead using the budget, authority, need, timeframe approach. Additionally, maintaining and updating customer information in SalesForce.com and fulfilling customer request for product information

Responsibilities

· Achieve daily, monthly, and quarterly KPI metrics

· Responsible for generating and qualifying sales leads/opportunities

· Builds relationships with prospective customers with the primary focus on the development of new and existing accounts over the phone

· Uncover ways to raise brand awareness for Philips product portfolio and gain account intelligence for new/existing accounts

· Responsible for managing the Philips relationship with customers and independently drive account needs or problems through resolution

· Meets or exceeds performance metrics set by management while also maintaining additional responsibilities

· Meet & exceed productivity outreach efforts to customers (primarily telephone and email communications)

· Incorporate Lean Thinking to generate and assist in continuous improvement projects

· Effectively utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications to document outreach efforts, account management plans, next steps/actions, and leads/opportunity notes.

· Time management is essential in this role and the ability to shift focus on inbound, outbound, and other responsibilities all while serving the needs of the customer and achieving sales funnel and revenue requirements

· Be the main point of contact for Philips customers and work with cross-functional team members to resolve customer issues.

Your Team

As a member of the Market to Order Team, you will report directly to a Sales and Marketing Manager and Sales Support for Philips Health Systems, North America.

Teamwork and collaboration with aligned account resources is critical to the success of this role. Working closely with Marketing and Sales, we promote Philips solutions and uncover new opportunities to contribute to the overall sales funnel.

We are looking for

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills education and experience:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Possess a very strong phone presence for taking inbound calls and making outbound cold calls as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders

· Ability to apply persuasive selling skills via telephone to address customer needs

· Ability to build relationships with key decision makers.

· Determine customer’s requirements and recommend Philips solutions & services.

· Presentation, Planning, and Organizational skills.

· Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or equivalent helpful but not necessary

· Skills with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $24 to $28.00, plus overtime eligible.  The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. 

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
