Pay range: $54,000 to $121,800 per year

Employment Status: Regular Full-time

About this position:

The SAP ABAP Software Developer works in a fast-paced team environment providing top tier application and development support relative to Northwestern Energy's technology systems. This position requires innovative thinking, programming experience, analytical aptitude, and business acumen skills. The successful candidate will work in a team environment to support SAP S/4 HANA software development. About this job:

  • Understand concepts and techniques related to ABAP development and application support.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document ABAP code
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify problems and develop requirements for solutions
  • Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents, and conduct unit, integration, and release testing to validate functionality
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills to evaluate/troubleshoot complex issues
  • Effectively and efficiently organize, plan, execute and coordinate multiple work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates
  • Some travel (up to 15% of time) and extended hours may be required

Am I right for this job? Here's the success profile:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college in associated discipline such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business and Information Technology, or other relevant degree. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may also be considered.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and adapt to changing responsibilities and priorities
  • Experience with:
    • Object Oriented ABAP programming
    • Reporting (ALV, Fiori)
    • CDS Views, Table Functions and AMDP
    • User exits, Business Add-Ins and Enhancement spots
    • Interface Development
    • Module Pool, BAPI Development
    • Smart Forms
    • Workflow
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; driving a project from inception to completion
  • Affinity for solving problems and diving deep into the details
  • Passion for writing high quality, well-tested and documented code that is secure, reliable and maintainable
  • Familiarity with development methodologies with a focus on agility
  • Strong written/oral communication and documentation skills
  • SAP UI5, HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience is a plus
