Finance, Revenue Management, and Business Development internship

The Opportunity: 

The Finance / Revenue Management / Business Development  Internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside HYP leadership and industry professionals to provide an educational and learning experience to further the pursuit of the student’s academic degree and is ideal for those interested in roles that emphasize P&L responsibility and/or business development, such as careers like partner track in consulting, coverage MD in banking, and Chief Revenue officer / Chief Business Development Officer in corporate / startups.

  • Exposure to collaborative ideation, creation, and development of business development strategies alongside industry professionals
  • Exposure to developing and executing high priority, high visibility, key strategic initiatives for growth, revenue, and partnership opportunities
  • Exposure to P&L management, market sizing, financial projections and KPIs, and revenue diversification through data-driven business analysis,  and cross-functional collaboration with finance, marketing, and technology teams
  • Exposure to revenue and financial drivers and assumptions
  • Opportunity to further develop professional relationship management / client management skills
  • Support and development of your personal voice and brand, thought leadership skills and industry knowledge by staying on top of current events, market trends, emerging business categories and competitive efforts

Ideal Applicants:

  • Candidate pursuing a career in finance, consulting, sales, business development, or other P&L / client-facing roles (e.g. partner track in consulting, coverage MD in banking, and Chief Revenue officer / Chief Business Development Officer in corporate / startups) and will treat this as an opportunity for growth and development
  • Candidate pursuing a major in related to general business administration, consulting, sales, marketing, advertising, or communications, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Ideal candidate has interest in one or more of the following domains/industries: AI, consumer goods, beauty, fashion, retail, media (even better if it's at the cross section of these industries and the functions of finance/BD)
  • Candidate with excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, creative, and problem solving skills
  • Candidate with familiarity with and experience using social media platforms
  • While this role is remote - candidate must be located within the USA for the duration of the internship (with the exception of 1 week)

  • Compensation Range: Unpaid
  • Stipend: $300-$450 (Fall non-W2 payment) or course credit
  • Please note: All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited degree program for the entire duration of their internship
