Content Creator Intern

South Carolina Waterfowl Association (SCWA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been around for over 40 years to help preserve the future of our natural resources.
The South Carolina Waterfowl Association (SCWA) is seeking talented and capable Content Creators to serve a fall 2024 internship. As a Content Creator, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and editing content (photo, video, and graphics) for the company which will be published on the SCWA website and social media pages. You will also be responsible for researching key SEO terms and current trends and implementing them in the content to gain maximum exposure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wildlife conservation and education and a strong understanding of content creation strategies.
We're looking to hire two candidates for a 13-week Content Creation Internship this August - November.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the Adobe Suite - especially Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, and Premier Pro
- Photography and/or videography (including editing)
- Professional social media management experience is a plus
- Dedicated with a positive attitude
- Efficient and responsible (time management is mandatory)
- Able to work well in a team setting
- Affinity for the outdoors and related sports (I.e. shooting sports, water sports, etc.)
- Affinity for children's education and interacting with ages 7-16 daily
Responsibilities:
- Social Media: daily posts for 4 profiles on multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Photography: weekly albums used to build our marketing catalog
- Videography: Weekly/daily recaps to post on socials and send to camper’s families, Mission Moment Videos to send to sponsors, etc.
- Graphic Design: able to create communication pieces for events to be used on website and social media
