Program Supervisor

The Program Supervisor manages and supervises Parent Partners, Youth Advocates, and Family Specialists. The Program Supervisor provides direct support to supervisees, oversees the quality and tracking of all Wraparound and FURS documentation, trains and onboards new staff, ensures program coverage and is an integral part of the management team.

Wraparound/FURS are community-based programs that serve at-risk youth from ages 0-21 throughout Ventura County. The Program Supervisor works with a team of Clinicians, Parent Partners, and Youth Advocates to support the youth and their family. We do “whatever it takes” to help our community thrive. The Ventura County Wraparound and FURS Program’s goal is to support children, youth, and their families with complex and enduring needs to reside in the least restrictive environment that is clinically appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • The Program Supervisor is responsible for knowing and being capable of fulfilling all job duties of supervisees.
  • The Program Supervisor is responsible for learning, knowing and being able to train/coach Seneca’s Wraparound/FURS model and hold their supervisees to the model.
  • Create and maintain supervisees’ schedules for providing direct care/support for children and families.
  • The Program Supervisor is responsible for supporting their team with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion issues that affect their supervisees’ own professional development and those of the families receiving Wraparound/FURS services.
  • Ensure that all supervisees are submitting accurate and timely paperwork related to the services being provided to children and families and relevant to their role.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training, coaching, and support to all supervisees regarding all areas of their job and responsibilities.
  • Participate in weekly supervision with the Program Director.
  • Conduct weekly individual supervision of staff.
  • Create and facilitate monthly curriculum for Wraparound Fidelity training.
  • Facilitate Team Meetings for all members of that supervisor’s team.
  • Work with the Management Team to coordinate ongoing staff trainings.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related subject area.
  • Eligible to register/registered with the CA BBS.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings as needed.
  • Willing to respond to crisis situations (as needed) and be part of a rotating emergency on-call system (2-3 times per year).
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy.
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an HR-approved medical/religious exemption.

SKILLS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Ability to work as part of and supervise a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Good organizational and writing skills.
  • An understanding of the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on the youth and families we serve.
  • Willingness to self-reflect about how the intersection of one’s own identity, power and privilege, and communication style influences their interactions with youth and families.

PREFERRED

  • Experience working with children in out-of-home care.
  • Experience implementing family-focused Wraparound services.

Schedule

  • Full-time
    • Monday - Friday: 9am-5:30pm.
    • Hybrid; sometimes remote, sometimes in-person.

Benefits

  • Staring at $75,842 to $89,842 per year.
    • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam.
    • Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications.
