Part-Time Department Coordinator

This position involves managing the administrative tasks of a year-long grant in the Humanities, Petrarch in Global Translation. The grant, received from the NOMIS Foundation in Zurich,  is based at Brandeis with a subaward to the University of Vienna, Austria where the grant’s Co-PI is based. There are 15 scholars affiliated with the grant, located all around the world. The job will involve handling the administrative tasks of the grant—managing the budget, organizing team meetings on zoom and in person, submitting reimbursements for expenses for the Brandeis PI, managing communication with the foundation and research team.

 

Job Description:

  • Managing the budget for the grant and coordinating the subaward.
  • Submitting paperwork and maintaining communication with the NOMIS Foundation.
  • Organizing team meetings on Zoom and in person
  • Submitting all reimbursements for Targoff and her graduate assistant.
  • Answering emails from team members  in relation to all aspects of the grant
  • Communicating with/coordinating with project manager in Vienna.

 

Please note that this is a part time position working 17.5 a week on average. This is a 9 month position and will end in May 2025.

 

Job Requirements:

  • HS/GED; AS or BA in Humanities strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required
