Special Projects Assistant

Survival Med is the leading provider of online and hybrid wilderness, remote and austere emergency medical training, with learners on all 7 continents. It's based in the U.S. and is entirely virtual.

This contract Special Projects position offers 20 consistent hours/week, with a very flexible schedule. 

Additional hours may be available starting in Sept/Oct, if desired.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Marketing support - ex: assisting with social media and email promotional communications
• Operational support - ex: event setup, assistance on course-related projects
• Customer support (100% email) - ex: answering learner questions about their courses

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Detail-oriented quick study who enjoys learning new and interesting things
• Has a knack for quickly learning online tools
• Native English speaker fluency
• Excellent written communication, spelling and grammar
• A knack for clear, crisp communication
• Reliable high-speed Internet access & a laptop/desktop - phone or tablet alone aren't sufficient

Selection process includes a communication skills assessment.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Individuals paid on a 1099 basis must pay their own self-employment taxes and income tax and don't receive employer benefits.
