The Role:
As a Chemist Intern, you will help support the lab through projects and using your technical expertise. Required responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day interface with operations and laboratory to help maintain, support, troubleshoot, and maximize unit performance.
- Collaborate with senior chemist to develop projects that will improve laboratory methods, reduce variability, and increase efficiency.
- The intern will support these activities with project work, laboratory and field activities, and exposure to a variety of analytical techniques and methodologies ( e.g. gas chromatography, NMR, ICP, x-ray, Wet Chemistry, data analytics, etc.)
Level of Education & Experience in general
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from an accredited university or actively enrolled in a master’s or PhD degree program in Chemistry at an accredited university.
- 3.0 or greater GPA out of a 4.0 is required
- Completion of minimum 2 years of chemistry and chemistry lab courses

Strong analytical skills with basic knowledge of process and laboratory chemistry.

- Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and techniques

- Willingness to work 40hrs/week in a chemical plant laboratory. Ability to climb ladders and stairs.

- Strong organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Self-starter who can work independently, make necessary decisions, and follow through with action plans.
