The North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board has a new position for a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer in our NPDES Wastewater Unit. Under the direct supervision of a Supervising Water Resource Control Engineer, the incumbent will supervise a staff of four (4) technical staff who oversee permitting, inspections, compliance assistance, and enforcement for dischargers regulated under the NPDES wastewater program, the Region’s recycled water program, and the federal pretreatment program.

We offer a flexible work schedule and telework with periodic in-person attendance at the office and field work. The position is located in our Santa Rosa office, located at 5550 Skylane Blvd. Suite A, Santa Rosa, CA, 95403

Duties:

The Senior Water Resource Control Engineer plans, organizes, and directs the work of the NPDES Wastewater Unit, which is responsible for implementing the North Coast Region’s (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Wastewater program, the federal pretreatment program, and the Region’s recycled water program.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.

Salary: $10,886.00 - $13,625.00 per Month
