Hiring Range: $76,785 - $103,658

Who We Are:
 
Mental Health Support Services (MHSS) is the provider of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder services for children and adults in Chesterfield County. We are currently seeking a MHSS Services Supervisor who has strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
 
Successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in information systems or a related field; three years of increasingly responsible job-related experience to include two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  Proven experience in health records management, with at least five (5) years in a clinical or technical role preferred.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
 
Considerable knowledge of theories, principles and practices of community behavioral, prevention and/or ID programming; of principles and techniques of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of persons with behavioral health disorders; of relevant mental health laws. Ability to plan and organize a behavioral health project and/or components of a program; to interpret and apply county, state and federal regulations, policies and guidelines related to the assigned program; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers; to supervise staff. Preferred: thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Meaningful Use requirements proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and health information exchange platforms; demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail; and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
 
Additional Requirements:
 
Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date.
