Fall 2024--Social Work Intern

PLEASE NOTE: We are currently located in Trooper, PA and are moving to Montgomeryville, PA at some point during the semester, likely late October.

Mitzvah Circle utilizes Social Work interns to assist with intake and assessment-related tasks. You will be interacting with those needing our help, qualifying them and determining how we can best serve them. Our highly-skilled staff rely on intern support to assist with the volume of requests that we receive for help. Interns work under the guidance of our Executive Director.

Interns should have a social work, psychology, human service or liberal arts major, sign a confidentiality agreement, and be able to pass a background check.

We will provide a $500 stipend at the successful completion of your internship. We are happy to work with students and schools toward academic credit.

Our interns work a minimum of 8 hours a week. The hours are Mondays through Fridays 9:00am-1:00pm. You can choose if you work T/TH or M/W but you need to work the full shift from 9:00am-1:00pm (and you can work additional days beyond those two). Students must have completed at least their sophomore year of school with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The internship starts the week of August 26th, and you need to commit to stay until Thanksgiving even if you complete required hours sooner.

All internships are in Trooper, Pennsylvania, about 40 minutes north of Philadelphia near King of Prussia. We will be moving to Montgomeryville, PA during the semester. You will need your own transportation.

Mitzvah Circle provides concrete help by working directly with recipients, or with referring organizations, to fulfill specific needs, especially when other assistance options are exhausted. Mitzvah Circle joins in partnership with individuals, foundations, corporations, schools and other non-profit organizations that wish to provide community service, goods or financial support. Mitzvah Circle is not faith-based; we treat all people with kindness and compassion. We believe that changing the lives of people in need creates a better world for all.
