Fellowship Position Specific Description
The Clinton Public Health Fellow II will work in Epidemiology and Data, focusing on environmental health and COVID-19.
The fellow will:
- Manage GIS databases for the Environmental Health and Safety Division, with a particular emphasis on wastewater surveillance for COVID-19 and other environmental health related information. This includes data entry, verification, and updating spatial information.
- Review engineering plans for septic systems, water systems, and pools under the direction of a Public Health Engineer, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Collect and analyze data for public water systems, including water quality testing, monitoring, and reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement protocols for wastewater surveillance and engineering plan review, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- Assist in the development of reports and presentations based on GIS analysis, engineering plan reviews, and water system data for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical support for environmental health projects and initiatives, including fieldwork, data collection, and research as needed.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations, technologies, and best practices in GIS, engineering, and environmental health.
