Support Services Analyst

The Bureau of Information and Telecommunications has a full-time permanent position open for a Support Services Analyst. This role applies depth of knowledge and skill in complex and varied work situations while providing excellent customer service with limited need for direction. Responsibilities include support of video/teleconferencing equipment and peripherals, imaging, and deployment of computers, installing and configuring software and peripherals and assisting users during deployments. Other duties include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting hardware/software failures, processing break/fix tickets, network equipment replacements, and documentation.

You will provide courteous customer service to state agencies by following up on customer questions and resolving their problems quickly and efficiently. You will work both independently and closely with your team and collaborate with colleagues and clients to improve request fulfillment processes.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Associate degree or 2 years work experience in related computer support field is preferred.

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft operating systems;
  • Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Teams;
  • Active Directory;
  • computer hardware and printers;
  • software installation and device configuration;
  • voice and video services;
  • customer service techniques and principles.

Ability to:

  • provide quality customer service and demonstrate patience and understanding;
  • work cooperatively with coworkers and clients;
  • compile and maintain statistical data related to voice and video usage on a state-wide scale;
  • work independently and in a team environment;
  • interact with customers via our service delivery system, telephone, chat, electronic mail, and in-person;
  • identify and resolve hardware/software issues on various computer hardware platforms;
  • manage time, prioritize work, and complete work within assigned timeframes;
  • be attentive to all details of work processes and follow established standards and procedures;
  • communicate effectively.

This position is eligible for Veterans’ Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
