Human Resources Administrative Assistant

GENERAL SUMMARY

The purpose of this job is to provide various administrative support to the Human Resources Department. This position is also responsible for walk-in and telephonic customers. This position is responsible for processing invoices and FML packets in an efficient and timely manner. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide service for walk-in and telephone customers for Human Resources, Equalization, Finance, and Planning. 
  • Screen and refer telephone calls from multiple incoming phone lines and provide information to employees and the public.
  • Assists with the creation and processing of FML packet requests. 
  • Assists with maintaining personnel files and provides administrative support for all Human Resources staff.
  • Processes invoices for payment. Produces requisitions for purchase orders.
  • Handles incoming mail, ensuring forms and documentation are accurately timestamped and rerouting mail appropriately. 
  • Completes special projects, including scanning of all paper files for Human Resources.
  • Performs related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least two years of relevant college-level course work or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in business, accounting, customer service, office administration, or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years of related work experience, such as customer service, front desk reception, etc. 
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
