This is an exciting and highly visible position that plays an important role in shaping, supporting, and monitoring the future of Schumacher’s manufacturing operation.

 

Paramount Print’s Color Specialists take pride in their keen eye for color, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for manual color mixing.

 

Hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday - Friday with potential for overtime

 

YOU WILL:

  • Mix and match paint colors manually to achieve precise and consistent color results for screen printing projects
  • Understand specific color requirements and preferences and creates a customized color palette based on project specifications
  • Accurately match existing colors or specific color provided by using color mixing techniques.
  • Produce sample batches of hand-mixed colors for client approval, ensuring they meet the desired color accuracy, tone, and intensity.
  • Make necessary adjustments and refinements to the color mixes based on client and designer feedback or changing project requirements.
  • Diligently follow color formulas and instructions provided by designers and clients
  • Conduct color tests and adjustments to ensure accurate color matching of strikeoffs
  • Keep detailed records of inventory, color mixing ratios, formulas, and outcomes
  • Work closely with the design team to understand color requirements and expectations for strikeoffs
  • Maintain and organize color inventory and supplies
  • Monitor and evaluate color quality throughout the printing process
  • Collaborate with printers and production team members to ensure smooth workflow
  • Use a keen eye for detail to identify and address color discrepancies
  • Ensure all color mixing equipment is properly cleaned and maintained

 

YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Bi-lingual, Spanish-speaking capability preferred
  • High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and change direction based on business needs
  • Extremely detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Action oriented and enjoys working hard/smart
  • A team player, cooperative, a person who easily gains trust and supports peers
  • An all hands on deck mentality, and are willing to pitch in with multiple team members
  • Able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in color mixing and matching in a screen printing or similar environment
  • Proficiency in manual color mixing techniques and methods
  • Strong understanding of color theory and color management concepts
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for precision and consistency in color matching
  • Physical stamina to perform manual mixing tasks and work in a fast-paced screen printing environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new color matching techniques and technologies as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in color theory is a plus
