Project Operations Specialist (JR-0000909)

Responsibilities

Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Project Operations Specialist to work within the New York State Department of Health’s Office of the Commissioner. The Project Operations Specialist will assist in the coordination of a variety of day-to-day administrative areas within the Office of the Commissioner including public affairs, operations, or in a public health program area. The incumbent will also assist in the coordination of special projects by planning, , and evaluating project activities to ensure goals and objectives of multiple projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters. They will assist with coordination of special projects implemented by the Office of the Commissioner, including the Commissioner Grand Rounds program and COVID integration.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience providing project coordination/support and/or operations coordination/support; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.     

     

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Public Health. Experience assisting with public health policy creation. Experience assisting with Public Health Emergency Response. Experience collecting & analyzing data. Experience creating Public Health related social media messaging.

 

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.

Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required. A valid driver's license in good standing will be required.
