Land Surveyor | Bureau of Reclamation

Serves as a Land Surveyor, supporting surveying activities concerned with land and property boundaries, preparing plat and legal descriptions for tracts of land within the area office and to other offices.

Serves as project leader on a variety of land surveys and mapping projects.

Compiles topographic and/or planimetric maps for small contour interval and large-scale maps.

Performs remote sensing surveys including sonar based bathymetric and terrestrially based Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) surveys and inspections.

Implements cadastral and engineering surveys, as well as subprofessional engineering work related to operation, maintenance, and construction program facilities for Reclamation-owned infrastructure.

As a part of the Safety of Dams program, oversees and performs structural behavior monitoring of major structures within the Region.
