USFR Investor Programs Intern
Fall 2024 Internship (August 15 - December 15, 2024)


The Hunger Project (THP) seeks an Investor Programs Intern to join our Investor
Engagement team. This internship is open to currently enrolled or recently graduated
university students.


Position Summary:

The Hunger Project is seeking passionate, creative, and adaptable individuals with an interest in supporting our work to create a work without hunger. This is a part-time, remote fall internship with a paid stipend that is eligible for school credit. This is an opportunity for
individuals who are eager to actively learn and participate in many facets of project
management, communications, and special projects of a global organization that will support the stewardship and expansion of our US investor groups through innovative programs and communications. This position will work closely with our Senior Officer, Investor Programs.


Specific responsibilities include:
● Fundraising Communications: Support the development of engaging
communications for mid-level giving investor groups through copywriting, editing, and
designing materials.
● Program Rebranding: Assist in the launch of our rebranded monthly investor program
by drafting communications, managing events and timelines, creating opportunities
for enhanced member experience, and supporting the program’s growth through
innovative ways to invite new investors and FeelGood youth to join.
● Stewardship & Recognition: Develop and execute meaningful strategies to recognize
monthly investors and Legacy Circle members.
● Data Analysis: Analyze and report on data analytics to assess the progress and success
of fundraising programs.
● Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with THP staff, partners,
investors, and other interns.
● Administrative Support: Provide administrative and project management support to
the Senior Officer, Investor Programs, including organizing and updating documents,
calendars, meeting notes, overviews, and other administrative projects as assigned.


Preferred qualifications:
● Must be located in the United States.
● Currently enrolled in a communications, fundraising, nonprofit management,
international relations, or other degree program.
● Must be able to commit to 12-20 hours during the business week.
● Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong editing and proofreading skills.
● Desire to learn, grow, and embrace or generate new innovative ideas.
● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy.
● Self-starter with strong leadership and social skills. Must be able to work
independently and take ownership of your time, space, and projects.
● A team player who is adaptable, flexible, and willing to contribute whenever needed.
● Knowledge of standard business applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Google
Docs.
● Preferred knowledge of Canva and other graphics programs is a plus.
● Experience working across cultures and multiple language skills are a plus.
● Commitment to THP’s values, including an understanding of and compatibility with
our principles and philosophy.

Compensation: $600 per full month. Half months will be pro-rated.
Time Commitment: 12 - 20 hours/week; Preference will be given to those who can work
during regular business hours. No weekends.
